Carl is a born and bred New Yorker. After graduating from college, Carl had a short lived job as a photographer for a newspaper in Vermont. Having realized that New York was in his blood, and Vermont was not, he returned to New York to pursue his still life career.

He currently maintains a studio in the Chelsea area, while living out at the beach with his wife and faithful pup.
